LUCY'S STORY.
"I spent years treating my skin like it was only a skin problem.
At 15, I was prescribed the pill to help clear my complexion. It worked, until my early twenties, when my hormones shifted and my skin changed with them.
What followed was years of trying to understand what was going on. Hormonal acne, topical treatments, different routines, more research. The more I looked into it, the more I started to understand that what was happening on the surface wasn't necessarily where the whole story started.
Learning about the connection between the gut, hormones and skin changed the way I thought about wellness. Not as another routine to perfect, but as something much more interconnected.
That thinking eventually became part of the reason we created Alchemy: products designed to support what's going on beneath the surface, without asking you to make looking after yourself a full time job."
TALIA'S STORY.
"For me, it was my gut that wouldn't stay quiet.
For years I struggled with gut issues, fatigue and relentless bloating. I was told it was IBS, told it was common and, eventually, that I'd probably just have to live with it.
I wasn't looking for a perfect diet or a life organised around my gut. I just wanted to understand what was going on.
That curiosity led me into years of research and experimentation, from probiotics and prebiotics to gut-supporting nutrients, and eventually to a much bigger understanding of how connected our bodies really are.
When Lucy and I compared notes, the overlap was hard to ignore. Her experience had started with her skin. Mine had started with my gut. But we'd both arrived at the same frustration: looking after yourself had become unnecessarily complicated.
Alchemy grew out of wanting to make it simpler."
